Switzerland

Recently an SDO Collaboration has been established in Switzerland with active participation from:

• eCH – national Swiss developer of standards for eGovernment
• GS1 Switzerland – part of the global GS1 organisation, best known for their product barcodes
• HL7 Switzerland – Swiss Affiliate Member of Health Level Seven International
• IHE Switzerland – Swiss National Deployment Committee of Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise International
• SNV – Swiss National Standards Body, the formal Swiss representation to CEN and ISO

The collaboration has been modeled after the SDO-NL example of successful SDO collaboration in health informatics standards.

The group has active engagement with DigiSanté, the newly established program to promote digital transformation in healthcare. This program is created on behalf of the Federal Council and will be formulated further in an initialization phase until the end of 2024 and then implemented by the end of 2034.
